Not Just Another Day (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website notjustanother.day. We offer a one-time digital gift service that delivers 365 days of daily themed messages to a recipient via email or SMS. Questions about this policy can be sent to help@notjustanother.day.

From the gift buyer (you):

• Your email address (for purchase confirmation and receipts)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details)
• The recipient’s name and email address
• Your chosen theme

From the gift recipient:

• Email address and/or mobile phone number (provided by the buyer at purchase, or entered by the recipient in their settings)
• IP address and timestamp at time of SMS opt-in (if SMS delivery is used)
• Delivery preferences (time of day, frequency, preferred channel)
• Optional feedback responses to messages (emoji reactions)

Automatically collected:

• IP address, browser type, and referring URL (via Google Analytics 4)
• Pages visited and time on site

• To process your purchase and send confirmation emails
• To deliver daily messages to the recipient for 365 days
• To provide customer support
• To improve our service through aggregated analytics
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use recipient data for unrelated promotional outreach or third-party advertising. Recipient contact information is used only to deliver the gift messages and related service communications the recipient has opted in to receive.

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate:

• Twilio — SMS delivery (phone numbers shared only to send opted-in messages)
• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Google Analytics — website analytics (anonymized)
• Email delivery provider — sending daily messages

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We retain purchase records for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Recipient message delivery data is retained for the duration of the 365-day gift period, then deleted. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) and to maintain your session during checkout. By using our site you consent to this use. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect checkout functionality.

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Recipients may opt in to receive their daily gift messages via SMS on their personalized settings page. The recipient enters their own phone number and provides explicit consent via an unchecked checkbox before saving. Phone numbers are used only to deliver the gift messages and related service communications. We do not use recipient phone numbers for unrelated promotions or third-party advertising, and we do not sell them. We share phone numbers only with service providers necessary to operate SMS delivery, such as Twilio.

Opt-in: SMS messages are only sent after the recipient opts in on their settings page by entering their phone number and checking the consent checkbox. The gift buyer does not provide the recipient’s phone number.

Opt-out: Recipients can unsubscribe at any time by texting STOP to any message, or via the settings link included in every message.

Message frequency: 1 message per day for up to 365 days. Msg & data rates may apply. For help, text HELP or email help@notjustanother.day.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
